Boo at the Zoo

Me and the boys went to Boo at the Zoo with Dan, Maria and their two boys this weekend. I didn't take any pics b/c 1-Rhys has no costume yet and 2-Rhys was being a nightmare (didn't sleep well the night before). Fortunately, Dan got one cool shot of Ethan.

Here's my Commander Cody Clone Trooper from Star Wars..

Ethan broke his arm!

We are in the midst of laying laminate flooring in the front half of our house. Well, the boys thought it'd be fun to slide on it with their socks on. Well, last Sunday Ethan biffed it and broke his left wrist! I don't have any pics of him in his cast yet, as he just got it Friday, but I will post soon!

Guitar Hero Night

We had some friends over the other night for dinner and video games.
Here are the girls battling it out on Guitar Hero...
Rhys wanted to join in on the fun with dad, too! Good thing Morgan and Jason had an extra guitar that was just for the kiddos :).

Hoover Dam

In a few years, you won't be able to drive over the Hoover Dam as they are building a nwe expansion bridge. Check out the pics of how HIGH the bridge is. If you are afraid of heights, good luck crossing that baby! Scary...

Taking a peek over the edge. It is a LOOONG way down :).

This was taken out of the sun roof as we drove under the bridge.

Whew, that is high!

Ethan FINALLY Lost His First Tooth

Ethan lost his first tooth while we were in Vegas. Poor kid was the LAST one in his class to lose a tooth...Here's a pic

Ethan w/out his tooth...

Off to Vegas

Well, my mom, me and the boys went to Vegas the first week in October and what was supposed to be a fun trip, turned into a nightmare!! I guess my kids don't enjoy sleeping in places other than their own beds. We had some cranky boys the whole time, but I really did enjoy my visit with one of my closest friends, Alana and her beautiful family!
Ethan and Rhys at the Bellagio Garden's (SOOO Pretty)!

Ethan turns 7!!

We enjoyed a nice dinner at Joe's BBQ for Ethan's 7th bday this year. It was a small family affair with Grandma and Grampa, Memere and Grampa Dave and Uncle Mike. He got lots of Lego Star Wars stuff and is STILL working on those thank you cards :).

Playdate

Here's some pics from our recent playdate at the park with the gals from my MOPS table.

We have Kynsley, Alaina, and Eleah having 'girl talk' while the boys play dump trucks!

He Did WHAT?!?!?

This week we were at the park for a playdate and I look over and Rhys is at the edge of the playground with his pants around his ankles peeing on the cement! Now on one hand I was happy he didn't go in his pants, but on the other....Well, yeah, you can imagine my shock of him just going right there in the park! Fortunately there was no one else there besides the people I was with! Whew....

The Mother of ALL Train Tracks

Rhys LOVES Thomas the Train, so sometimes I set him up a HUGE train track in the living room. Easy to do when you have no formal furniture :)....Here's a pic of one of my creations-check it out :). BTW, it takes me about 30 min to set up and after a good long play with it, it takes Rhys about 10 seconds to demolish it!

Rhys' Track...

Oh yes, Grady in the middle of it all (he's in the red bucket)...

Grady and the boys

Our little guy, Grady, is hilarious. At 7 mos old, he is Mr. Personality :). He looks so big in these pics, but is still a kitten! Wherever the action is, he is there too! The other day I caught him 'helping' Ethan with his homework, how cute!!! Then he decided to 'sleep' with boys :)...

Did you use proper punctuation, Ethan?

Ahh, I'm ready for bed...

Scott's Trip to Chicago

Scott went to Chicago last month for some training and took a few pics. It sure is pretty there, hopefully I'll be able to go with him one of these days, as I have never been to the Windy City!

CDW HQ

Nice view, better than his current one-the freeway! LOL

He Did WHAT?!?!?

About a month or so ago, Rhys had the runs bad for about 10 days, so I took him to the peds. Turns out he got that Cryptosporidium from the public pools (aka drinking water laced with pooh-gross, I know!) Anyway, we are in the exam room and the Dr and I are talking about it when Rhys grabs the lysol disinfectant spray and sprays it INTO his EYES! Yes, oh yes, he did! So, we take him to the eye wash station, while the Dr and 2 assistants hold him down and we wash his eyes out at the eye wash station. Thankfully he is ok, but man, what a goose!!!

Going Private

Hello all-

As most of us are doing, Scott and I are going to make the blog private here shortly. I thought it was, but upon looking into it more, we aren't and I want to be sure only friends are able to view our pics and info :)...More details to follow!!!

He Did WHAT?!?!?

Today, as I was checking my email, it was just a bit too quiet in the house and since the t.v. wasn't on, I knew something was up. Well, my little Rhys was 'helping' in the kitchen! Check out these pics and the video....

Rhys 'helping' mommy (notice the bottle of dish soap on the counter. It is now half empty. I just bought it about 2 weeks ago)...

Adding a Weekly Special

So lots of my mommy friend bloggers are adding these cool, weekly things to their blogs-ie. So, I figure that you all should enjoy in on the fun and have a nice laugh on me. Ha, ha... So be watching for our first installment, which will be posted in about 2 minutes LOL!

Ethan Starts 1st Grade

Wow, can you believe it?!?! The 2008-2009 school year is now upon us. For those of you not from AZ, we like to start things early! Ethan is in the Chandler Unified School District and they do a modified year round schedule. He starts in July, but has two weeks off in October, December and March. Then they finish the last week in May. It works out nice, since it is SO hot here, the summers can be tough. Anyway, Ethan is attending Haley Elementary, which is a brand new school! They are still finishing up some things, but overall, they were ready to go this morning. His teacher is Mrs. Bastek. The local news channel was even there! We thought he might not make it to his first day this morning, as he was up vomiting last night! Poor kid. We are thinking maybe too much pool water and possibly a bit of nerves?? Here are some pics...

Ethan's Special Night

We have started a new tradition. The night before school starts, you get to pick out any ice cream flavor you want and then we sit around the table as a family talking about the upcoming school year. Ethan chose Breyer's Mint Chocolate Chip and we talked about what he was afraid of (kids making fun of him) and what he was excited about (a brand new school, PE, and computers in the classroom). It was a fun time, sitting around the table in our pj's and I think this will be great as the boys grow and start a new school year every year. We were also able to enjoy a fun afternoon at the new community pool down the street. We were there for 2 hours, going on the water slides, the lazy river, the diving boards and the kids area. The boys loved it and you can't beat all that fun for $4 for the whole family!! Sorry no pics there :).

Grady is a Goose

Our new guy, Grady, is such a silly goose!! He LOVES to sleep in our plants. Pretty soon he won't be able to fit in there, though. Oh and he KNOWS he can't do it while we are home, so as soon as we walk in the door he runs out. How do we know? There is planting soil all over our floor! LOL Check out these pics...

Grady again...

Here's a pic of Harley in our den. What a handsome boy...

Yay, Rhys!!!

I have been working on potty training Rhys for a while now. He would go in the potty if naked and running around the house, but if he had shorts and undies on, he'd just pee in them. Very frustrating. Soooo...after trying sticker charts and promises of toys/candy/etc, I finally promised him a trip to the fire station if he went 10 times without me having to ask him. It worked!!! Here are some pics of their goodies they got :). He loved it. Now, he gets to go to the BIG fire station once he starts doing #2 on the potty. I hope it is soon, this kiddo needs to go to preschool and can't get in till he's potty trained :).

Introducing our NEW baby :)

Well, I couldn't resist, so here is the 3rd and FINAL addition to our family. His name is Grady and he's a 4 month old Ragdoll seal bicolor kitten. He is actually the grandson of our Harley. Pretty funny since we didn't even get him from the same breeder! Harley and Grady get along great and enjoy chasing eachother around the house. Cali is not too big of a fan, but she doesn't like other cats anyways, so we weren't surprised...Anyway, he is hilarious, full of energy, into everything and has the softest fur coat you have ever felt! We love him so much already!
