I joined the gym!!

Well, I did it, I joined the gym!! Sorry, no before photos will be posted. Eek!! :) Please feel free to ask me how its going, I can use all the accountability I can get. The best part about it is, the kids come with me and Ethan gets to do a kids yoga class on Mon and a fitness class on Tues and Wed! So far he really likes it and Rhys has adjusted great as well!

December 29th-Date Night

Dec 29th was Insight's annual company holiday party which consists of a tail-gate party and tickets to the Insight bowl for all its' employee's and a guest. Scott and I went to the party, but skipped the game (sorry dad, I know YOU would've gone to the game :)) because Scott had a date night planned for us. He surprised me with a night away at a local hotel! We had a wonderful time sans kids and enjoyed the evening out by going to the movies and watching The Pursuit of Happyness. May and Rob were kind enough to spend the night at our place and watch the kids. After the movie, we went to Trader Joe's and bought some munchies so we could stay up, veg out and watch lots of t.v.! Then in the morning, we had a nice and peaceful breakfast out at Einstein's....Thanks, hon!

Merry Christmas!!

We had a great Christmas and New Year's here in AZ. On Christmas eve, we celebrated at my mom's house as usual. We always eat toutiere (spelling?!?!), we pronounce it 'toot-kay' and it is a french meat pie with a double pie crust. The filling is beef, pork, potatoes and spices. Most of the people who marry into the family don't like it so much :), which is why I am starting Rhys out early. He loved it, which made his memere (french for grandma) VERY happy!! Ethan got a cool Diego (from Dora the Explorer) ride-on hummer, some GI Joe figures, along with some new clothes and Rhys got a big wheel that can also be used as a rocking horse, the Little People Circus and some new clothes as well.

On Christmas morning, the kids awoke to presents under the tree from Santa :0). Ethan got two Star Wars ships and some hot wheels, activity books and other stocking stuff. Rhys got a Little People Barn, some sippy cups and hot wheels.

Then in the afternoon, we went over to May and Rob's house for more family fun. Ethan and Rhys were spoiled all over again! Ethan got a kid's digital camera, the game Boggle, and some other cool stuff. Rhys got a new booster chair and the Little People Preschool, along with other new clothes too. The kids had fun and we enjoyed a nice dinner with the family!
