Scott's *new* baby

Well, we have decided to cut some expenses in this household. After much thought, Scott sold off his beloved off-road rig - knowing this was soaking up lots of our income each month. His 4Runner was getting as low as 15 mpg and between monthly payments, insurance, and gas bills, it just didn't make sense to keep it. He'd had his fill of four-wheeling and it was time to get something more practical. We searched many weeks and finally found something sporty, fun, reliable, and economical. Scott bought this '93 HONDA Civic Si hatchback from the original owner. It only had 120,000 mi on it. He loves it and is quickly refurbishing it and adding some personal touches to make it more to his liking. Now that he's getting 32+ mpg, having 2 cars on 1 income doesn't hurt the wallet so bad!

CA Vacation

We just got back from CA on Sunday and had a great time. We spent 3nights at the Mandalay Beach Resort in Oxnard with May and Rob and Scott's brother, Joe and his wife Brigitte and their two boys, Thomas and Jonathan. Two of May's sisters and their families who live nearby popped in for a visit too, so it was practically a reunion! Anyway, we had a great time hanging out and Ethan was in HEAVEN with 5 cousins to play with. I don't think I saw him for three days, he was always in his cousin's room, or with them at the pool :).

After we checked out on Wed, we drove down to Margit's (Scott's grandma) house in Newport Beach. We had a wonderful time with GG (stands for great-grandma). We went to Legoland on Thursday and Friday and the beach on Saturday. On Friday in the a.m., Scott, Rhys and I visited Kingston (the company Scott represents at Insight), while GG took Ethan to the mall. Ethan came home with a hermit crab-oh my!! Zach (named after GG's dog) is adjusting well to life in AZ, although he likes to pinch-hard! Just ask Ethan :).
